At Counseling on Call, privacy is foundation of trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit www.counselingoncall.net and use our telehealth services.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT:

A) Personal Identifiers: Name, DOB, address, phone, email, emergency contact.

B) Health Information: Symptoms, mental health history, treatment goals, insurance ID, therapist notes.

C) Technical Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent - via Google Analytics 4 (anonymized).

D) Booking Data: Appointment date/time, provider preference, self-pay vs insurance.

2. HOW WE COLLECT IT:

Directly from you via contact form, booking form, intake forms, during telehealth sessions.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION: To provide therapy and medication management, verify insurance eligibility within 24 hours, match you with licensed provider in your state in 24 hours, send appointment reminders via SMS/email (you can opt-out), improve website and user experience, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud.

4. WE DO NOT SELL YOUR DATA: We never sell, rent, or trade your PHI or personal data to third parties for marketing.

5. WHO WE SHARE WITH (HIPAA-Compliant Only): EHR provider (SimplePractice/TherapyNotes), Telehealth video platform (Zoom for Healthcare/Doxy.me), Billing partner (Headway), Insurance payers, Email service for reminders. All sign Business Associate Agreements (BAA).

6. COOKIES: We use Essential cookies (for booking), Analytics cookies (GA4 to see which pages like online-therapy-maryland perform), Marketing cookies (Google Ads remarketing - you can opt out). Manage in browser settings.

7. DATA SECURITY: SSL certificate (https://), AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, multi-factor authentication for staff, annual security risk assessment.

8. YOUR RIGHTS: Access, correction, deletion, withdraw consent, opt-out of marketing. For therapy records, see HIPAA Notice. Email Admin@counselingoncall.net - we respond in 1 business days.

9. STATE SPECIFIC RIGHTS: Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Iowa residents have additional privacy protections under state mental health confidentiality laws. Minors: We follow state laws for parental access.

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY: We provide therapy for children/teens but website not directed to under 13. Parental consent required. No knowing collection from under 13 without parent.

11. INTERNATIONAL: Services only for US residents physically in MD, VA, FL, OR, WA, AZ, IA during session.
