What It Is

What is an ADHD Cognitive Assessment?

An ADHD cognitive assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that measures attention, focus, memory, executive functioning, and processing speed. At Counseling on Call, we use the Creyos assessment platform alongside a clinical evaluation to provide objective insights that help support an accurate diagnosis and a personalized treatment plan.

What is Creyos?
Creyos (formerly Cambridge Brain Sciences) is a HIPAA-compliant cognitive assessment platform built on more than 25 years of neuroscience research. It uses short, engaging tasks to objectively measure attention, memory, reasoning, and executive functioning.
Can ADHD be assessed online?
Yes. Our licensed Maryland clinicians pair a virtual clinical interview with the Creyos digital cognitive assessment, giving you the same rigor as an in-person evaluation — from the comfort of your home.
How long does the assessment take?
Plan for about 60–90 minutes total across the clinical consultation and the Creyos tasks. Most people complete the online portion in a single sitting, but you can take breaks as needed.
Will I receive a diagnosis?
When appropriate, yes. Your clinician integrates cognitive data, interview findings, and symptom questionnaires to determine whether an ADHD diagnosis is supported — and to rule out other explanations.
Is this assessment suitable for adults?
Absolutely. Our assessments are designed for adults who suspect ADHD or want objective insight into how their brain is functioning across attention, focus, and executive skills.
What happens after my results?
We review everything together in a follow-up session and build a personalized plan — which may include therapy, coaching, medication management, or lifestyle strategies to help you thrive.
